I don't know if my setup is the best but I use the LUXMO horizontal speaker dock with an app called "Alarm Clock". The speaker is loud, the app stays on all the time. It's snooze button is the entire touchscreen. It's not the best but it's close.
Looks like they boosted their concept from this one:

Not that it's a bad idea, but someone needs to mass produce these high mileage vehicles not just make a prototype.
Maybe a MAME emulator can slip through the cracks and give the iPhone some old school arcade games.
Pick me, pick me, pick me, me, Me... MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
He's the Prez, he's married w/ children but he ain't dead!
Funny how "sci-fi" becomes "sci-fact". This very same idea was used for the short-lived show "The Invisible Man". He had a green ouroboros tattoo that turned red when he needed the counter-agent (kept him from going crazy). Interesting bit for TV, potentially great idea for real world situations.
My comment:
TAFFY IS DELICIOUS!

My cure for the economy:
GIVE US MORE TAFFY!
I'm very much like Rutiger. I own and have owned Macbooks and Powerbooks and have generally had them plugged in and have rarely to never used extra batteries.

But here's a thought...
What if the updated 17inch isn't intended to be "portable" and more of an alternative desktop? With more processing power than the MBP (quad-core), built-in dual monitor out & bto option of twin hdd or standard hdd & optical? If we're gonna get nuts over this why not go off the deep end. The nonremovable battery at that point becomes some sort of backup battery in the event that you had to go portable.
True that! The OQO still has it over "netbooks". It just needs better (and more) press.
All I got for Xmas was this note from Santa:

"The economy sucks, better luck next year. -S"

Give me Slingbox Pro-HD, so I shove the Yule Log up Santa's Ho-Ho-Ho!

Merry Merry & Happy Happy Everyone!

"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
