Hmm, perhaps I'm naive, but I didn't get the $$ angle from reading the source article. Increased prices would have more to do with retail than a group of feature designers, woudn't it? It's easy to be cynical, but if the industry is going to focus on usability, shouldn't something like that be encouraged?
Ya, wonderful, let's all celebrate the Cosmos. If you were a fan of the Seattle Sounders, who got robbed so Pele could have his coronation, I'm sure you'll love this one. The Greed! The Girls! What about the game?
Good guess LH, but it couldn't be BD-J, because BD-J isn't supported by the players on launch (even though the Samsung player has a Java logo on the faceplate). This menu system has to have been authored for Blu-Ray's Movie Mode using the Blu-Print authoring tool Sony put out for the authoring houses, or something like Sonic's Scenarist for Blu-Ray. Looks like the intent is to create a UI that can work alike across formats, even though it would have to be authored separately for each format, at least at the outset.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
