In video games, animals are typically antagonists. Bears and wolves attack in RPG's, guard dogs roam through stealth/action titles, and snakes and scorpions permeate all manner of games from MMO's to, well, Snakes on my cell phone.
I don't belong to PETA, I'm a healthy carnivore and enjoy hunting and fishing (in real life - the games typically suck), and I know that games aren't real. Still, slaying virtual animals is the least enjoyable facet of any fantasy setting.
In Oblivion, I'll avoid animals at all costs. I haven't slain a deer yet! I don't enjoy movies or books in which animals (especially dogs) suffer. If you see me driving and a dog is in the road, you'd better step lively - I'm going to try not to hit that dog!
I don't protest animals suffering in media representations - I just can't take it, personally. If the option exists not to get the dog in Fable 2, I'll appreciate it.
Fresh off the critical acclaim for "Viva Pinata", Rare silences millions with the first pics of the pack-in Wiimote for their new IP, "Pornotopia".
Bupkis, yards of it, and a little nada.
My favourite gift ever, and about the only time I ever got exaclty what I wished for, was a Sega Genesis. I don't think I (or my friends) slept for 3 or 4 days!
the wattage may be low, but what of the freq and possible nervous system interference? The 2W from a cellphone is over a short duration, but the wifi is all say at a constant rate. Towers emit from a hundred feet in the air, and routers from 8-10 ft away. None of this worries me, but the net effect is under-studied, and it's wrong (and small-spirited) to trivialize these parents' concerns.

PS3 looks high end AV, Wii looks like a tissue box,Xbox 360 looks..well, like a game console, but if you don't like it, you can change it - I've got wood for mine.
The two adult systems are full sized. The kid system is wee.
No reason to be ashamed of any of them.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
