Yes I own this unit now for 9 mths and love it it streams HD video perfectly with the wireless from 4 rooms away, yes 1080, how u convert the MKV to iso then it sees it and plays fine, I hate the fact it doesnt play MKV and H2.64 as stand alone containers, but converted to iso it does great. the new firmware lets u have full control over the pictures and MP3 tagging and all that stuff for you Music lovers,
I have the Terabyte seagate 32mbcache hd in the unit for xtra storage, runs cool and NP at all with it. it connects wirelessly to the PCs in the house and streams anything at all I have on any of the computers to the TV.
the MviX 800 will have MKV and H2.64 support in the new chipset.
firmware upgrade work smoothly with this unit, overall I give it a 8.5, it would get a 10 if it played MKV and H2.64 by itself as that is what I mainly purchased it for

"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
