Everyone will be affected by the DTV change. Every TV purchased from now on will cost three times as much as the old analog one. The manufacturers just got the biggest gift of all time and it came from the US Government. Cable and Satellite users will eventually need a new TV and they will face these higher costs just like the "Cheapo" Antenna users.
I NOW have both analog and digital TVs. I see NO advantage to digital ( that "better" stuff is just crap being put out by our government people who screwed us and knew they were). It takes a LARGER digital TV to get the same size picture we got on a smaller analog. Digital TV Broadcasting is not as dependable, nor have as much range as analog. The new digital televisions won't fit into our old cabinets and entertainment centers. The list goes on and on and on AGAINST DTV. Why isn't someone being made to pay for this "mandated by the government but paid for over and over and over by the citizens of this country.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
