I'm using 12:24. It does all this and more.
Where'd my post go? Cripes, what a system Engadget has going.
What I wrote them a few days ago:

I expect this to fall on deaf ears but I hope it does not.

We have been customers for 5 years now. We currently have a 5 phone Family Plan. Needless to say we are loyal customers.

Unfortunately since day one we have had poor coverage in our area. We live in a valley, in a town that otherwise has 3G coverage. We are lucky to get one bar most of the time, making our phones nearly useless in our home and on our property.

From the beginning we have been told by our local representatives that a tower and improved service was scheduled for our area (we are not remote, but right in town). This has now gone on for 5 years. We ask periodically but get no real help or satisfaction. The last time we called our local corporate store we were basically told that we were out of luck and that ATT had no plans for improvement in our area.

We have been waiting 5 years for promised improvement. We have just recently renewed our contracts and added 2 iPhones 3Gs' to our account. We feel we have been more than patient and that our costs are not justified for the level of service we have received.

We would greatly appreciate a thorough response. We feel that customers such as ourselves are prime candidates for your 3G Microcell launch, something that should be provided at no charge in areas where you are supposed to have service but do not.

Thank you for your time.

AND THE RESPONSE:

Thank you for taking the time to e-mail AT&T regarding the coverage area at your home. My name is Teresa Ann, and I am happy to help you with your inquiry.

We apologize about the service problems that you have been having at your home area. We did check the area and there are no outages at this time. We are unable to see if we have plans for future coverage at this time. We did get your home address logged as having poor service. This information gets forwarded to our technical department to show that this is an area that doesn?t have good coverage.

Please contact us personally by phone at 1-800-331-0500. So we may troubleshoot your phone, and work to resolve your issue. Our business hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Eastern Time.

Please call from another phone beside the phone you are having difficulty with. Please have the phone available at the time of your call for troubleshooting. If you are having difficulty at specific addresses, please have them available at the time of your call. A network trouble ticket through our Technical Support Department may be necessary, if we are unable to resolve your issue when you call us.

AT&T?s service is called AT&T 3G MicroCell and launches in the U.S. in 2009.
The service is currently part of a trial in three U.S. cities. At this time we have no other information on the Microcell.

Once again, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced in regard to being unable to make and receive calls at your home.
You like the mount? You can get almost the exact same mount for RAM Mounts for less than $20. Plus you get get different back for it, i.e. window, bike, dash, etc.
Am I the only one who thinks this price point is ludicrous? I've bought 2 TomToms in the last 2 years, one was $100 the other was $79. They are dedicated GPS units and work pretty well, they stay in the car and needn't be hooked up every time.

This kit is a slap in the face if you ask me. TomTom is basically giving us the PRIVILEGE to pay them $200 (which buys a VERY nice dedicated unit BTW) for:

- a clip on mount
- software
- NO SCREEN
- nearly no hardware

The whole kit should be $50, not $200. I use my 3Gs frequently for GPS but the dedicated unit is better and WAY cheaper. PLUS you can resell them if you upgrade.
Who pay's him? Well for starters, you do! If you're reading his column weekly youre keeping him in green.
Cheap is all well and good but not all BDs play the same quality. It's like saying all DVD players are the same. This is not a good "transport" on any way, it's simply cheap.

The output of the LG 370 compared to the Panasonic BD60 is quite different.

Cheap Blu players are for those who don't understand or appreciate Blu-ray. That is, until the decent players drop into the cheap realm, which will NEVER be $100.
Zune, what's a Zune? I'll take it!
I'm surprised there's even room in their double wide to fit and HD tv and BR player! Must have moved the NASCAR furniture around a bit!
I've said it before, $15 is the sweet spot. Anybody with half a brain is buying most of their BD library used, why buy new? I adopted about 4 months ago, I'm currently at 200+ DVDs and 20 BDs. I certainly don't intend to replace all my DVDs with BDs, not even close, especially consider the job the PS3 does on upconversion. Other than 2-3 titles, I've bought all my BDs used and not paid more than $15 ea, and less.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
