I'm not saying they're unimportant. They are, for sure. And I'm not saying they weren't good, because they were. I'm saying, that they're a terrible choice to center a rhythm game around because nothing will be challenging. It doesn't need to be Dream Theater or Dragonforce, but come on, can't it be a little more difficult?
No, screw that. It's all pop. Just because they use different effects and play even fewer notes that usual does not make it interesting to PLAY, which is what you want to do right. It's not technically interesting music, which is going to make it boring. Rush is progressive, the Beatles are not.
The first two Rock Bands have plenty of challenge toward the end and they don't overchart. All their songs are like 2 minutes long, and don't have any great solos. It's going to get boring because you're going to be playing the same thing over and over again. You're basically paying for Beatles karaoke with a Tier 1 level rhythm game tacked on.
Is anyone at all bothered by the fact that THERE WILL BE NO CHALLENGE. All their stuff is ridiculously simple to play. They were a pop band, not a progressive band.
Head like a Hole might not be as classic, but I think Closer is bound to be remembered. Plus Reznor still churns out decent music these days...now I'm going to go listen to Survivalism...
I WANT
Minus the "white power" part, I think it's pretty cool. I'm really sick of everybody on this website taking these things so seriously. Some guy just made a Nazi car, this is the internet this ALWAYS happens. Get over it. And just to be clear, we defeated the Nazis in 1945 can we please find something else to hate?
Whew, this is good, because everyone knows you lose money for killing hostages. Thats why he got banned after all.
I've had mine for over a year too, and just a couple of weeks ago I was playing Oblivion (I took a 1 year break) and the 360 (in the horizontal position) gave it that very same ring of disc death. I wonder if they'd replace it for me.
Say what you will, the format war doesn't even begin until wal-mart starts selling movies. The says so far aren't even a bit of what they'll be when wal-mart gets around to selling them. And at that point you'll see HD-DVD skyrocket compared to blu-ray because it's wal-mart customers that will be buying the stuff.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
