Santa Clause knows how nice I've been, and he'll tell you I deserve the bundle. Thanks Santa.
Josh,

At least maybe give an update at the end of the article stating that this review was not conducted on a Hero with the *updated* ROM. Honestly, a lot of people depend on Engadget's reviews before purchasing products, and now that you have a null and void floating out there, people might read this, and call it a day, and move on. This means it could be costing Sprint money in my eyes. "Oh Engadget, who normally has great unbiased reviews, said the Hero was still slow, I'm getting a Fruit Phone."

So please please please just post an *Update - New ROM NOT tested, will update this review later once we get our hands on a new one" Maybe even a "check Gizmodo out for a review of the new ROM"

Thanks!
Question: When are we going to see this review updated?

Answer: NEVER - b/c no major website will ever come out and say that a phone just beat the pants off of the jesus phone.

We can always dream though :(
The big to do about the Hero is a new Android phone with HTC's Sense UI. It's going to be pretty sweat, and since Android is completely open, and Google's, the possiblities will be endless. Palm OS is pretty sweet to, not going to knock it, but I think Android's more open platform gives it the slight edge. And the iPhone hasn't been better than many phones for some time, it's just the fan boys that keep pushing it.

And I hear you entirely with Sprint. Cheapest plans that you get the most out of, and customer service has drastically improved in the last few years. I've been with Sprint for 9 years, and have had very little problems as it is. Why anyone wouldn't be on Sprint is beyond me. But even more confusing is why people still complain about Sprint. I think it's mostly people not getting their way, probably like the 14 year olds who want everything for free.
This phone is going to effin rock. Right out of the box, the only complaint i had about my diamond is the battery, then a not so much complaint, but hinderance (sp?) was the lack of expandable memory. Now i'm running a custom ROM on there, and the batter lasts from 7:00am until i put it on the charger, anywhere from 11pm-2am. I will talk on it, listen to music (who uses 3.5mm audiojacks??? BT headphones, welcome to the land of wireless connectivity - and they sound SO much better than they did even a year ago!), check my email, do a few dozen texts, and run around on the net using opera. People only complain about the diamond when they don't know how to use one, and if you don't know how to use one (or any wm phone for that matter) you shouldn't have one. My phone's destroyed any side by side comparison to the iphone me and my friends have done, and it fits in my front pocket! DIAMOND2?!?!?!?! come on folks, you have got to be kidding me! if the iphone is the Jesus phone, then the diamond 2 is the the JUDAS PHONE! (diamond1 already was IMO). happy easter! :)
The 3d was definitely much better than anything i've previously scene (saw it at an imax though). g/f jumped a few times when stuff would "pop" out, and she ended up getting a little dizzy from it honestly, i had to keep yelling at her to put her glasses back on lol.
Scary and awesome all at the same time. And at the risk of sounding like an uber-dork, it would be telepathy, not telekinesis, right?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
