Bryan Singer. 'Nuff said.
While it's true iChat doesn't support multiple chatting accounts, with any Jabber server with other services running on them , you can be chatting with your AIM, MSN, ICQ and Yahoo friends within minutes.

Check out www.ijabber.com to see what I mean. I have 1 iChat window, with 3 servies connected and it's awesome.
I will be frank. I did not read through everyone's comments but I will say that there is TONS of REAL HD available online. More than you could queue up and download every month, that's for sure.

Take a look on Usenet, groups like alt.binaries.hdtv and alt.binaries.hdtv.repost

Name a recent movie and I am willing to bet you cash it's been posted. Many popular TV shows are there, I am talking terabytes of data in eitehr 1080i or 720p straight from the broadcaster is there.
There doesn't need to be a DVD player that upconverts them for you... if you are outputing your resolution at (for example) 1280x720, in DVD player go to full screen, Quartz Extreme will do all the filtering and upconverting for you since your desktop resolution is higher than the 720x480p the DVD most likely is.

What I am most concerned with is playing HD .ts and .mpg files since my Powerbook 1.5Ghz G4 simply IS NOT fast enough. The second I hear the Intel Core Duo is fast enough to play them without dropping any frames I will give it a serious look.
Rumor has it, the technology will work with any 6600 GT and 7600+ card. Keep in mind the 6600 (strangely enough, not the 6800) has the more advanced GPU that natively supports PureVideo to it's fullest.

I have been following this thread fairly closely at Doom9, check it out:

Tim went MIA for a little while but is back and said he is reuming development on his plugin to get live HD and streaming with the Xbox 360 to work properly. It currently works well with an original Xbox.
P.S. the link to the video is here: http://www.wasd.tv/?p=34
I just watched a video of them showcasing this at (CES was it?)

Interesting feature and should be a hit among Sage fans... honestly, as silly as it sounds... one of the main reasons I don't use Sage is it's interface. Call me vain, but I just can't give up the slick animated Direct 3D interface of Windows Media Center. Come the day when Sage looks and feels like that... I will move over.

Feature wise, this is a gret feature and I am really glad they chose to use MPEG4 to get er' done. Good job Sage, keep the features commin'!
Just thought I would clarify my vote for "Windows Media Center"....

I do use WMC BUT I do it over Firewire (not OTA) through Tim Moore's awesome plugin. I do have a Motorola 6412 but rarely use it since I discovered how much better it is to simply use WMC.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
