I have a 3.0 setup. The room isn't the easiest to wire the surrounds, with an open back wall into the kitchen, but I consider the center channel to be very important for the dialog in TV shows and movies.
The software is still too far behind for me to buy a drive for an HTPC. I'm still hoping Windows7 will fix that little problem by integrating playback into Media Center (Or have a pay-for option to do so).
Uggh. I hate it. I've had it since July, and the interface is horrid. It is slow and laggy. "Based on Java" is the splashscreen that shows first during the 5 minute (literally) boot-up. If I had visibility, I'd switch back to Dish Network in a hearbeat. Better service, much better quality picture, and their DVR rocks.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
