I definitely think it's time for an upgrade with this 55" at that price. My parents have the Vizio 47" XVT and it has been better than anything they have had before. I saw that Vizio is doing text alerts now too. I signed up just so I can find out when this giant goes on sale!
vizio to 67463.
Not sure it's even fair to compare this junk to Vizio. Especially with their new VP505XVT that has all the fun of 1080p, 120hz as well as HQV processing and TruSurround HD - they are competing with Samsung, Panasonic, etc. not this stuff. I guess price still signals things to people though. I would much rather spend the money on something where you actually get some bang for your buck! :)
Nice looking design. Glad Vizio is thinking about green issues too. It looks similar to my 42inch XVT, but I like how that looks so... The little green patch is a nice touch.
I would really rather spend half the price and get the new Vizio SV420XVT with 1080p, 120hz, great picture quality and great true blacks.

When you buy a Sony or Samsung, half the time all you are buying is the label. I'd rather get a good quality product at a decent price.

"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
