exactly. you can simply say this.

Older programs and programs that weren't made in HD will have black bars on the left and right. Use the strech button on your tv to get rid of them.

Movies with bars on the top and bottom were filmed cinematically. Use the strech buttton to get rid of them.

I paid for an HDTV and i should get it to fill the entire screen. I'm not going to "kick back and enjoy" black bars.

The writer is right. The NBA is too entrenched in hip hop culture.

Some may want to deny it, but the league has had numerous image problems because of that culture. Players like Allen Iverson for example continuously miss practice and act very selfish.

In general, the NBA puts too much emphasis on the individual player and not the team concept. Maybe if team owners had zero tolerance for some of the antics we see, maybe the perception of a "Thug league" will disappear.
Faux News HD isn't a real HD channel. All it is is the SD feed with a ticker of BS news on the right.

Either be REAL HD or GTFO my cable system.
Just duct tape it to your chest. Problem solved.
I hope NHL Network HD is on the basic HD tier!
/facepalm

I knew things would get worse regarding this election.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
