Arington-ware? That's when the hype around the prototype is sufficient for the device to defy gravity.

Endgaget-ware? That's when a prototype attracts more postings on a tech blog than the number of devices actually built and sold.
@appsman
Genius! That must be why the Core2Duo iMacs with the exact same screen design don't fail then.

Slipping? Hardly. We had three brand new Dell laptops we ordered turn up DOA last week (out of 6). The company exchanged them without question. QA in the PC business has shifted to the consumer.....
10X the people should equate to 10X the profit.

Bell and Telus were CDMA only until they realised they'd lose the roaming charges for the winter olympics. That spurred them to make the investments in HSPDA+. This is an experiment in motion. Rogers has had the iPhone for 1.2 years, rolled out MMS and tethering with OS 3.0 and has had few glitches. We'll see how well the new Telus/Bell shared network copes with the iPhone - probably pretty well is my guess.
Samsung os too good for Dell - that would be a step up.
Actually, the iPhone "went" to China without wifi. Lack of 3G in (late 2009) is like driving a horse-drawn cart to work.
Sexy as in thin as a supermodel and with the brains of one?
Why? There are far, far better devices that actually offer 3G.
Great job - and not just a re-skin. There are always some people resistant to change, but for a site like Engadget, these iconoclasts will be fewer than the number of guys who think Steve Ballmer is the embodiment of cool.
When will people get over the fact that the phone price is a tiny portion of the cost - if you actually want to use a smartphone's capability? The plans are where the money lies. Saving an extra $25 on initial price when a useful plan could run into a couple of thousand bucks over a couple of years is false economy.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
