Betamax to Blu-Ray FTW!
If you get newer equipment, you'll have fewer cables by just using HDMI while having the best quality video and sound.

I have just 2 HDMI cables: one to the TV from the receiver, and one from the receiver to my PS3. (I use CableCARD for my antenna.) How clean is that!?
This is too true. I had to get my parents' TVs set up, and while it's simple for the Gen-X and younger crowd, I can see how the older generations would be completely confused.

Then again, I don't know how they ever hooked up their DVD player.

After it was done, they are loving the clear picture and extra channels though.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
