I have Verizon Fios HDTV and it is glorious!

Envy me!!
Hey Big Sam,

We have the same tv!! Games look great on it at 720p. Can't wait for if/when games are made in 1080p so the Westy can really shine.
Quick question:

Even if you have a 1080p tv, there isn't any 1080p content on the 360 right now, so everything is just being upconverted to 1080p. If you have a tv that does a good job with this, wouldn't it be better just to output the Xbox's 720p content as 720p and let the tv do the upconverting?
Sonos baby!! I don't have a video streamer, but Sonos is a music lover's dream come true.
I have a cablecard installed in my Shard LCD tv. I use Comcast Cable and it was a bit of a challenge getting it installed. The first time they came out, the hooked up my cable box in the living room, but they said that they didn't have any cablecards. It took me 2 months and 2 visits to finally get one.
I use a Comcast HD box connected via DVI to my Westinghouse 42" LCD.
I use Comcast Cable for my HDTV viewing and it would look awesome on this tv...in my living room...please!!
Can someone briefly explain what benefits the upgrade adds? Thanks.
Do you need a TrueHD capable receiver in order to get the benefits of this? Or do you just need a receiver with either HDMI or analog 5.1?
Has there been any more talk about cable companies actually supporting their CableCARDs in the tivo-3 box? I recently got a CableCARD for one of my tv's and it took Comcast over a month and a half to get a card in stock. I have had a one of Comcast's awful HD DVR's in the past and it seems to me that they would be reluctant to install a cable card in a tivo box which could essentially replace their cable boxes. At the very least, the cable company will be losing their $10 a month for their lousy DVR service.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
