@Jim

You got that right. Here, I made pie charts:

As a "media streamer" for You Tube, Hulu, etc. using Twonky or Play-On the game console is excellent at that, but at the moment it cannot match LIVE HDTV transmitted by a broadcaster.

So, until it can, when I'm not playing the occasional game on them I will use my PS3 and XBMC (softmodded XBOX) to stream web content, video netcasts and ISOs of DVDs.

I'd love to replace my cable or DirecTV set-top box with a game console that could do it all or that could do it all with some add-on peripherals (e.g. USB HDTV tuner), but because of DRM issues and the state of patents and IP law today I don't see that happening any time soon.
dagamer34 hit the nail on the head.

Not just 'No', but "Hell No".
I am quite happy to wait for Amazon to deliver it to my door and not waste my time scouring stores in the hope to get it a day or two early.

Do people really have this much time to waste shopping for one movie?
Another piece of "research" to point out the patently obvious...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
