It would be interesting to have this broken down by tv screen size. We don't know if they just sold way more 22" walmart cheapos to get to that #.
Pioneer cannot force retailers to use a certain carrier. Also, plasma is more delicate than lcd, regardless of manufacturer and as a warranty servicer for all brands I have seen broken panels from all of them. To me this is just 11 people who cared enough to write about it.
The reason Vizio is doing well is the same reason Wal-Mart is doing well. America is satisfied with 'good enough' as long as the price is right. The people that buy this product expect to replace it in 5 years WHEN it fails. I have no problem with that but at some point in your life you realize that sometimes it's worth the couple extra bucks to upgrade.
You guys must own stock in vizio or you're friends with someone who works for them. I may as well be reading their sales pitch.
By far the best value in flat panel TV's right now.
I'd rather get the cheaper panasonic that has a better picture.
As a TV technician, I see a ton of these fail. Vizio should improve their support and reliability before they try to mingle with the "upper class".
