I worked fro Firedog as a District Lead installer. Yes, some techs were bad and I did alot of cleanup for them. But, for the most part I know that what people were paying they were getting a decent job that mostly everyone was happy with.
Since I trained the new techs coming in, I was able to teach them the right way to get things done. The funny part is, I'm doing this work for myself now starting my own company, instead of making $20/hr. $330+ is absurd for what he did. This is great news for people like myself, just confirms what I've been saying about the boys in blue for long time.
To be fair, not all of their installers are garbage. For the most part, I can't tell you how many problems I've fixed that they have created. I'm sure some of their techs can say that about Firedog's as well. Get it done professionally if you don't know how to do it, but do some research on the company who is doing the work.
IMHO its the BDP-S350.... Stable as hell, cheap as hell, around $250, got mine for $120 through vendor..quick load times, its only profile 1.1 out of box, but has ethernet for updating to 2.0 when released.
I was debating getting a PS3, but the 360 is killing it with netflix, media center, and gaming. I don't need to drop an extra $300 to have something that suits me fine.
the samsung 1500 is a great player.....just has to be tweaked a lil...anynet is a stupid idea, get a harmony remote, and the load times are retarded. the 2500 isn't much better... 2cents
yes sir..netflix and xbox 360 all the way...plus they are probably going to expand quicker into the digital DLs because the hardware is already into the homes of millions of customers...all netflixs has to do is spread the word..

"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
