Let them win and push fuel cell development by the losers.

I really like the automatic image scaling when the browser window size changes. Kudos. Even engadget logo is scaled.
TVPredictions is a tabloid. Things just do not fail when this much money is invested by 95% of the industry. It is not like a company invested in a technology and could not succeed it for one reason or another.
Conversion can get slower with HD due to all mentioned reasons, but I am having hard time imagining it.
How about just painting the wall with pure white and nailing the moulding around it for it to be "real" ? With some paints you could even make the screen have positive gain.

It does accept 1080p, and 1000Lumen is just perfect for home theater projector. Did you expect conference room type 3000 lumen pj?
And price is not that high compared to Marantz equivalent that stamped with $20,000.
dat,
It gots to be dark for projector to "work". Different application/pleasure.

Heat, consistency in production, and quality persistence due the heat. As you may know, LCoS degrades over time where blue color goes kaput. Some manufacturers did overcome the problem, some could not. LG might be in the latter list.
Also, BOM ( bill of material ) to make an LCOS is higher than other technologies, namely DLP. While DLP can use a single DMD chip with a color wheel, LCD can on only be of use with 3 panels - 1 for each color. Those are the main difficulties.
Ryan - where is the love :)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
