Total War Empires is coming out! Woo-hoo! I'd better get three of these cards quick....

The KURO Elite plasma is without a doubt the best picture on any HDTV. I'll take a top-end LCD over any plasma other than the KURO.

I am totally spoiled by my KURO Elite plasma - nothing else compares to it. If you have the bucks, it is by far the best picture of any HDTV. I hope they never stop making it!

I use the LG Super-Multi, model GGW-H20L, since it can play Blu-ray and HD-DVD, and I have a bunch of titles I love on HD-DVD. LG has a new one now I think that only does Blu-ray but burns at 8X speeds, model BH08.

I also have a standalone LG Blu-ray player. The video quality on my HTPC (with a ATI 4750 HD) is so much better than the stand-alone Blu-ray player its incomparable! It's really quite a big difference. The ATI video card took a minumum of tweaking to color settings to get it vastly superior to the standalone player. I highly recommend it. I've used PowerDVD 8 and ArcSoft TotalMedia, they both work flawlessly. I like ArcSoft better because it can also do HD-DVD (PowerDVD 8 only Blu), and it is integrated right into Vista Media Center! It also does the latest audio formats like TrueHD over analog. I like analog better, it seems to give much better sound than digital especially in music.

I wouldn't game on this ugly, mediocre, proprietary beast if you paid me.

Tell me the gaming PC is dead when Total War: Empires comes out. I'll be rocking on an i7 extreme, as many $500 video cards as possible, and an array of 4 Intel X25-E's. Why? Because that's what I worked my whole life for, and when I game, I want the best possible sound, graphics, and performance humanly possible.

There will always be a market for quality PC games, and always a niche of people like me who want the best. This guy Sood is a real jerk, and a traitor to the fan base and philosophy which made him rich. He's destined for failure. I hope Voodoo goes down in flames and HP cans him.
