The engadget text is wrong. The video shows 3d CT reconstructions, not MRI. I'm a radiologist. Those are just the facts.
that's CT. Not MRI. And CSI etc did not demonstrate "mythical versions" of the technology. They just took an existing piece of technology and represented it inaccurately.
Comments are pretty funny - a lot of people that have never used a Vudu. Go try one, you might like it. This is not a product targeted at people who download torrents. Who can compete with stealing?

One way or another you're going to have to pay for content. $10/mo for streaming of a wide selection of new release level content is a pipe dream. Any more than that and it gets too expensive and you might as well do PPV a la Vudu.
I just got a Vudu a week ago...I have to say, it's pretty slick. I watch 480p on a X1 projector on a 70" diagonal screen. Their "SD" is dvdish quality, and their hd/hdx is really nice. If you have a 4mbit broadband connection, I'd say wait for the next sale (I paid $99) and go for it.
I have netflix - have people actually looked at what's available for streaming? 12,000 channels and nothing on....
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
