AGREED! EA is frakin horrid when it comes to multiplayer backbone infrastructure.
Yes, yes, yes. But will it go on an HD2?

Christ, can't you guys just blanket party Ballmer until he coughs up an answer?
@superluser

If you look at the top of the screen it starts populating words as well. If the system itself works, extending the dictionary and adjusting it for his most commonly used words would be cake. And while he may be used to the system he has, he and his caretakers have been expressing interest in a new system for years. This being because his current one is so old, outdated, and hard to repair since it was built from scratch solely for him. His current system is also a lot slower because it basically relies on two input functions: "select" and "back". The alphabet is cut into sections and the screen alternates between the sections until he selects one. Then it alternates between the letters until he selects one. So on, so on, and so forth. While there would be a learning curve for this device it could significantly speed up his ability to communicate.
How about these guys donate one of their own products to Stephen Hawking to replace his antiquated setup. And when it actually functions well enough for Mr Hawking to continue his work...then I'll be impressed.

...and super excited.
the cash to splash? "make it rain" jokes, anyone?
omg i almost crapped my pants when i read this. i got mine in on fri from newegg. my mobo was damaged so i didn't bother to open the core because the box was in good shape. went home on my lunch break and checked mine just to be sure. glad i didn't fall victim to this!
@CapnHowdy

apparently it is and now it's in the tween years where it wants to be a bully and take everyone's lunch money
@Heliosphan

key ghosting is when you hit too many keys at one time and it misses some of the keys or just stops responding to new key presses until you let up on some of the other ones. say you're in an fps and you're holding Shift to run, W to forward while A to strafe left, and now your Spacebar doesn't work to let you jump.
@Atkins

WHOA!!!!! I really don't want to see 13 people crowding one keyboard. Might be misconstrued as amateur hour.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
