I think the most surprising part of this article is that someone was able to walk into a Best Buy and actually get assistance from a salesperson.
Agreed...file this under who gives a shit
Put that chick in the box too and I'm in.
When is Comcast Jersey City going to get these HD channels? We are still stuck with 25 basic HD channels and haven't gotten a new one in almost two years. They actually had the nerve to send an advertisement in the mail with a basketball on it declaring themselves the "#1 Seed in HD." They wouldn't even make the NIT.
Slingboxen....is that a Brian Regan reference?
Have you boys seen my penis? If you see it just try to catch it with some cheese.
Cool feature to show off to friends, not sure how often I'll use it, if ever. Annoying to have to search for things using the remote, but it wasn't available when I bought this player and now it is so I can't really complain.
Does Best Buy really think anyone shopping in their store would need a converter box? I highly doubt anyone is going into the store to buy an iPod touch to display next to their rabbit ear television.
Stop whining, Cablevision already offers way more HD channels than many other cable providers. Comcast doesn't offer Food Network HD, FX HD, HGTV HD, Nick HD, Discovery Channel HD, TLC HD, and many others that you are taking for granted. Not to mention, those Voom channels suck anyway I'd much rather have more premium movie channels in HD.
34 is probably about 14 more than we have so you should feel pretty good.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
