The library thing with overdrive has been around for several months already. I have used it several times with my prs 505 and it works wonderfully. Also, I found that if you keep the reader with the checked out book open it doesn't disable it. So that is a slight way around the turn-in system they have for these.
It works with any file that is: pdf, epub, sony bebook, jpg, mp3, or txt. When it is plugged in via usb it looks like a hard drive, you just drop the files in. You can also use some handy third party apps to add your own info to it (categories, author, etc.). I've used it to put technical pdf files so I can read them while at meetings, works better than printing out most of the time.
There is also the other new one (the prs-300 I think). It is a slight bit smaller but $100 cheaper. So it has a 5 inch rather than a 6 inch screen, but no touch. I'm betting it has the increased page turn speeds that the 600 has.
@AlexNC: Yes you can actually do this. The easiest is with T-Mobile and a blackberry curve. You can get Opera on to the phone, along with a few other apps that will work with the wifi. I tried this but found that none of the IM apps will work, which was a major annoyance. Hope that helps.
I just hope that another android phone with a physical keyboard comes out. That is at least partly why the G1 is still used so much.
One should note that what they did was make it "nearly invisible to extreme ultraviolet radiation" which means that you can easily still see it with normal light. As in not invisible to the visible light spectrum, invisible to ultraviolet radiation. The aluminum also is destroyed shortly after going x-ray invisible. Also this is several weeks old at this point.
Here is another article closer to when it was first released.

3 times the normal chances to win. I like those odds.
it is a nice pc, but desktops seem better used as a media or gaming pc. Eh free is free.
Not really. The sd cards and hard drive on the device are almost fully accessible via usb. Just go to www.gutenberg.org and download any of their books in epub or any other format.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
