@(Unverified) As the same rumors have been floating around for a couple years now I would classify it as vaporware :)
@(Unverified) All the above in addition to rebuilding the UI to take advantage of HD screens.
While I have a TivoHD and do enjoy it, I have to say I'm rather disappointed with the product. The hardware is overpriced for what you get. The monthly subscription fee is way too high, yet offers little in return. The UI is archaic at best. While it's nice they offer regular software updates, they don't tackle the easy low lying fruit.

Why can't I see what's recording in the program guide? Tivo's been around for how long and they still don't do this? My old ReplayTV had this feature.

With the UI they've had forever, why are they only NOW getting around to developing some sort of wireless keyboard interface?

How about more modern hardware? Larger drives, maybe even hot swappable expansion, utilize more advance compression to store more on the drives, tru2way, built in wifi, etc.

On a more basic level, a more up to date and ACCURATE program guide would be nice.
Most of it mentioned above, but for tallying purposes:

NO MONTHLY FEE
tru2way support
three or four tuners
some sort of wireless (rf, bluetooth, etc) keyboard capability for text entry
highlight what shows are being recorded in the guide
the Tivo interface is looking very dated, having not changed much since the days of my ReplayTV
I really do prefer handsets with physical keypads. All the touchscreen keyboards are too damn small and inaccurate. That said, with some good hands on time, I can see the HD2 as a device that might finally sway me to touch screen only.
Nice job! Way to get the peanut gallery frothing and bitching about what features and UI WM7 will have or not have, when in fact no one in the real world really knows. Take a valium and wait until early next year when the folks at MSFT show us what's REALLY cooking for WM7.

I would rather they take the time to get it right than create mobile version of Vista or WinME.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
