With the rules the way they are now, a punter could just continually hit the scoreboard over and over again until time ran out.
Yeah so even if he would've been suspended, it would've been the LAST game. Not this one. And Boston fans say that people in North Carolina don't know anything about hockey? Really? I mean, really?

P.S. Just because you say it's a cheap shot over and over again doesn't make it true.
I cannot believe that BOSTON fans are accusing the Hurricanes of being dirty! Have you been watching the series at all? Because if you say that the Canes have been then dirty team in this series, you obviously haven't. According to the players on the ice, Ward was asking Matt Cullen (who has been in like 2 fights ever) if he wanted to throw down. Then, when Scott Walker (who...well, I'll just let the way things happened speak for themselves on his fighting ability) took exception, Ward did what any pansy would do: He changed his mind. This was NOT A SUCKER PUNCH...KIND OF HARD TO SUCKER PUNCH SOMEONE WHO'S LOOKING RIGHT AT YOU. He dropped his arms and leaned into it, obviously looking to draw a penalty, which is what the NHL saw as well. If the Bruins try to retaliate, here's what's gonna happen: They'll get called for a penalty, Carolina will score on the powerplay and the crowd will get fired up, and you can just go ahead and tell the fat lady to start warming up (Boston will lose for all of you Bruins fans who are obviously too dumb to get the joke since you think that was a sucker punch). It's been fun Boston...have a nice offseason!
Well since you know the rules of hockey so well, you'll recall that he has to be suspended since he got an instigator in the last 5 minutes. Slow mo, real time, whatever, Ward saw him coming from a mile away and if he doesn't feel the need to defend himself that's his problem. I almost want to say that he may not have defended himself in order to draw the instigator on Walker so the Bruins would have one less Hurricane to play against on Tuesday. Everyone seems to be forgetting that Ward got a roughing penalty on the play for his cheap shot on Cullen with his team up 4-0, which is what prompted Walker to come over and defend his teammate.
If Boston loses on Friday, which I fully expect they will, you can go ahead and put this one in the books. The Canes won't collapse like the Rangers did against the Capitals and people up north will finally have to show some respect for hockey in the south. I thought that experiment was supposed to fail?

p.s. 46 is double 23, not nearly double
Versus (1080i) has Ducks/Red Wings at 7 p.m. followed by Panthers/Bruins

^Seriously? It's the Hurricanes...the Panthers are a football team. Or a hockey team 500 miles away from the team that's playing the Bruins.
this will go great with my iphone!

wait, that's not right
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
