The Problem with the Mat finish is it is exactly that a Mat finish. Would your rather look through glass or foggy glass. I choose the second.
Does anybody know have they done anything with the resolution. I would hope they wont be 480 pixels of gloriousness like the 11" sony is now.
I own two blu-ray players. The playstaion 3 is the one in my living room. It has fast load times, beautiful 1080p gloriousness, linear PCM audio. I also own a Samsung p1600. That one is in the bed room. Not the best load times, upscale is not the best, but it does have netflix streaming, which is what is almost entirely used for. Ya, I know 250 bucks for a netflix player and another 70 for a wireless dongle is stupid, dont remind me. For me hands down the playstation 3. You get 80 gigs for 400 bucks. If you ever wanna play a game; you can. If you wanna throw 80 gigs of music on it to listen to; you can. The wireless updates are super smooth and work great. I have played around with the new models. Sony wasn't impressive if you go with one of theirs I suggest the 2008 Model 550 not the older 350 or newer 360. LG is LG nothing too specacular but does have the streaming netflix. The Samsung BD-p3600 and 4600 are almost identical in specs. The 4600 looks a lot sexier, but it costs $100 more. Sometimes going with a less sexy model and saving a little cash is worth it.

what the hell harmony did you buy that only cost $60?
I work at Best Buy and let me tell everybody how I do the Price Match. If you walk in and are an asshole customer to me, who wants the matched price and then an additional 10% off because they had to drive in an 30% off the service plan because Sears sells a 16 month one for half price, and don't want to buy an HDMI cable with your blu-ray player because the Blu-ray is $300 bucks and the cable should be there. Guess what, I'm not going to give you anything off. If you come in and are a good person and just want the same deal you can get across the street at wal-mart but want somebody who at least knows what they are talking about I give you the deal. I hardly even check to see if they have it in stock or even really have it for that price.

Moral of the story: If you are a nice person nice things will happen to you.
It all depends on how much you want to spend and what you want to hook up to it. Typically you don't need a full 1080p for that range of tv, but if you are hooking up a blu-ra, ps3, e-box 360, or dish network it is probably worth investing a little more. The 2008 Model Samsung LN32a330 is a good picture and a good price. At just under $500 not a bad tv. But keep in mind it only has one composite input which is disquised as a componet. I like Sony's new 2009 model KDL32l5000. It has an interesting body style but good picture for a 720. If you want a 1080p tv in that size, Sony has a brand new kdl32XBR9 out, looks super sexy with the 120 hz and 1080p. It retails for about 1100, so not terrible but thats if you want the best of the best.
Humm slow news day. I also wanted to steer people away from buying a sony TV because one time my friend bought one and it had burnt out pixels. Yeah they are all crap. Generalizations are fun.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
