Well, he's right it's still Windows, it still runs the vast majority of software and it's still used by 95%+ of all the computers in the world... LOL

"It's still just a Ferrari"
.....
Comcast already got their waiver

Makes sense to me, otherwise they have to do a truck roll every time to put traps on basic sub's lines.

People with clear-qam TVs are boned but in reality it's not much fun having to remember that channel 38 is actually channel "98.10" etc..

Satellite customers have been dealing with this for decades. Really, it's time to leave the 1980's behind and step into the DIGITAL future.
Single-link DVI is good up to 1080p (actually 1920x1200).
You only need dual-link for resolutions higher than that.
LCDs are that way.
720p Plasmas and RPTVs (older DLP etc) are usually a true 1280x720
Yeah they just "work" UNLESS you want Blu-ray.

In that case they are just "broken".
It uses about 90 watts less for most operations, that's quite a lot, but to put it in perspective...

IF you played your PS3 6 hours a day, that would be about 6 CENTS a day, or about $1.80/mo with current electricity prices. You could save the same amount by replacing a couple of light bulbs with curly ones....
You can use any laptop drive (2.5" SATA) the largest right now is 500 GB but maybe in the future 1TB, maybe that's what he's talking about.
Same here. I thought about swapping my fat 20GB (upgraded to 160GB) for a Slim for the bitstreaming and lower power/etc.. but... Loss of PS2 I could almost live with, loss of SACD is a complete deal-breaker.
You need to upgrade then because my HR22 has a 500GB hard drive, with MPEG4 it uses about 1% per hour for HD, so roughly 500 HOURS of HD.
You can do lossless audio via SPDIF.

2 channels PCM at 48khz.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
