Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
Pretty much all HTIB are junk but not this higher end Onkyo set up. I have a couple of friends that have this system and it sounds very nice. It offers a better set up than most any people you will meet will have...

There are a few projectors now that are 1080p for under 1K. Might as well go 1080p to slightly future proof your setup. Here is one that looks nice. I heard there is an Optima one too for 1K.

Now for Movies and gaming get a PS3. I have the both the 360 and Ps3 but Ps3 you get the bluray too. Better for your needs. The Slim can be had for 300.
Any cables go to monoprice. You will thank me later.
In the end you will only go a couple hundred over budget. Not bad considering you will be making few compromises. If you are wondering what to use for your projector screen. Improvise at first. Go the poor mans route. Go to Home Depot and get a 100 diagonal piece of particle board cut for you. Then go to Wal Mart or Michaels and buy some white fabric to cover the board. Use staple gun to secure fabric on board. Hang your poor mans screen wherever you want. Then shop around and save you money. Buy a nicer screen later. Hope this helps man...
