Well Tim, WalMart has been selling ipods for a while, and Apple doesn't seem to have been screwed by them. Yes, WalMart pressures (fairly or unfairly, I don't know) its suppliers to lower costs and therefore lower prices, but Apple has some clout here too. People want ipods and iphones; only apple makes them and in order to sell them, Walmart has to play nice.
If I come up on someone who I suspect needs CPR, the first thing I would do is call 911. This would put my phone into emergency mode and I wouldn't even be able to get to this app. If they did need CPR, I would ask the 911 operator to walk me through it.
That said, I think this app is great and if you are on a scene where someone else can call 911, this would help you to get started quickly and remember your CPR training. Also, I think this app should remain free or a chunk of the proceeds go to Red Cross....
I can't see wireless HDMI technology taking off in the home, but I do see potential for it in the theatre (stage not movie) setting. Most theatres are not wired for HDMI or even component. With projections becoming more prevalent on the stage, many theatres will soon be looking to add HDMI capabilities to their spaces without extensive upgrades or remodels. I think wireless HDMI will always remain a niche product though; I can't imagine it will ever replace a short cable run.
How many of the people who posted above me actually own an ATV? I have one, I love, I use it daily. If you don't have an interest in it, please don't waist time complaining about it.
From now on I expect 60% of iPhone stories to be unrelated to jailbreak/ unlocking. Can TUAW deliver...
I have an AppleTV. I love it and use it on an almost daily basis. It seems like most of the complaints about the ATV come from people who don't own or want to own one.
Hey Travis,
Have you tried 'powering down, then powering up'?

I am most excited for Comcast to come in and make some new commercials-- it can be maxi-pads or laxatives, just stop telling me about the triple play!!!

Red flag #1 about this post: It also affects windows.
If the problem is present in windows and OSX, its probably talking about the volume button on the iPod and not on the keyboard. In my freshman english course, we would have labeled this 'poor critical reading'.
I picked an inline (you splice into your attenna cable) FM modulator from Walmart for around $25. It's been working great with my factory deck for over a year now. Audio quality is comparable to a good FM stereo station. Plus, it uses a standard mini plug for the audio so when Microsoft releases Zune you can keep on rocking.... with your ipod.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
