@fylraen Ok fine, it's not an everyday thing. It's at that price every few months, which is not right now. But here's decent config for $750 (Penryn, 4GB DDR3, 320GB 7200RPM, 9400G). The catch is the price is only good for the Merlot color.

The Studio XPS 13 is not old at all. In fact, it's a class-leader right now in terms of design (leather/aluminum/etc), specs (i7 with 1GB nVidia card), and value (the aforementioned specs for $999).

If you don't need or can't afford all that, step down to the new Vostro V13, which is a CULV.
@makkster Nice site, but the theme is ugly.
Coincidentally, Engadget has the specs but Gizmodo has the hands-on. And posted a few hours apart no less.
Wait, who's the dork that said Danica Patrick hasn't won anything major?
I hope nothing gets screwed up in this, or I'll lose all two of my beloved Swedish automakers.
This was uploaded by some random YouTuber, not the official Top Gear channel. Just sayin.
Innocent question here: What's the point of having both a First Drive and a Review? It seems like the First Drive already covered everything.
I agree that this is the best CUV value/function-wise. But it happens to be one of the ugliest. I honestly think that even the Crosstour looks better.
Ironically, the new VW GTI took Automobile's 2010 Automobile of the Year.

From the January 2010 issue: "Yes, the VW GTI is our Automobile of the Year. Again. The last-generation car got the nod only three years ago and now its successor, the sixth-generation GTI, walks away with the trophy as well. We've said it before, but it's worth repeating: It's one thing for an automaker to create a car for fifty, or seventy-five, or a hundred thousand dollars or more that gets our pulses racing. Cars that cost that much certainly better be exciting to drive, rewarding to own, and well-built, with quality interiors. But it's another thing entirely, a real achievement, when an automaker creates a car that starts at only $24,239 - well within the reach of most new-car buyers - that is, as our West Coast editor, Jason Cammisa, says, 'just as much fun to drive and with just as much street cred as cars costing three times as much.'"
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
