I would like to see a senile Al Davis and his only ability is to fire Lane Kiffin
I was lucky enough to snag a PS3 preorder today so couple that with the HD-DVD add on and Im all set for all my HD needs
are you guys kidding me??? Your $200 add-on would be barely more functional than a DVD player??? Reagardless of 1080p over component it would still do 1080i and 720p which last time I checked was more than barely functional than a 480p DVD player.
favorite HD show is Battlestar Galactica on UHD
great work guys!! teaming up with Engadget is an excellent partnership
Not a big deal really as all MS has to do is add a HDMI cable and you will have full 1080p support just like the PS3...oh wait they have a $499 unit that has zero HDMI support.

Also the US price for the HD-DVD addon will be announced next week at X06
Now with 1080p support the HD-DVD add-on at $199 or less is pretty much a no brainer for me. My Mits 1080p set does support native 1080p via VGA so supporting it over component really does matter to me. Plus I dont see why Microsoft wouldnt put out a HDMI cable at some point anyways. Sony better hope a standalone blu-ray player doesn't show up for $399 or less because that will be the day I see absolutely no need for a PS3.
I heard prior to the press conference that not only will the HD-DVD drive support 1080p it will also work with Media Center (Im going to assume Vista Media Center) if this is the case then wouldnt it be possible to display 1080p via a media center extender that has HDMI? If so this is a very shrewd move by MS and might just make this add-on a hot property this holiday season with the home theate crowd. I know at $199 I'll be picking up one.

Also gotta love that the Xbox 360 can support 1080p, horsepower wise I knew it was possible and waiting a full year afterwards to support it and let the Sony hype machine do all the work for them lets Microsoft scores another PR win.
I've never watched AD but I've heard nothing but great things about it so getting it in HD should be a treat
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
