Although I agree with you, they will no doubt argue the VALUE in their player is not having to buy all your movies again on Blu-Ray to see them in "HiDef"... or not having to commit to a format you think is just holding place for a year or three until a viable downloadable option takes over... I'm not saying I agree with them, but if you have a large enough DVD collection and the image really is comparable... I could see how this is a better value than a BluRay player even at 1/4 the price...

That being said, I think this is a niche product that won't really be adopted in any real way by consumers, unless it gets cheaper than a BluRay player. for LESS than a BluRay player, seeing all my movies in near HiDef Quality would be tempting...
This is neat, but I'm an iPhone user.

I thought it was weird that the iPhone didn't interact with Address Book like other BT phones. Not sure why they thought paring the iPhone with a Mac wouldn't be useful. I used to LOVE sending TXTs and getting the CALLER ID flashed on my screen with my BlueTooth Paired Sony-Ericsson, not enough to ditch the iPhone, but enough to rant about it on the internet ;). But honestly, I hope the iPhone Developers bring me some of the niceties of the old system, like a version of this, only for iPhone...
I'd find something really nerdy to do with it... Control my Insteon set-up at home... Monitor webcams I have posted around my TINY apartment... You know, and other shit I'd be embarrassed to admit to if asked what I was doing in public...

Couldn't the longer download time be more a shortcoming of the Hard Drive than the wireless? I suppose in theory it goes to the RAM from the Browser, but I still feel like, unfortunately, that that 1.5x longer DL time might be a result of the slower write process...
Did I win? Oh lord I hope I won, the 15" old Apple LCD I'm using as a TV isn't cutting it anymore! Yee-haw...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
