Runciter #5,
Yes, I played FFXI on 360 for a while (Up until about a month ago.) and I must say this is worse than that. FFXI's text is very legible at a close distance, even medium. Not to mention that you can just get used to it. After a while you know where everything is in your inventory you dont have to read too much, and the pics help. But this is almost impossible at times to read. Especially when people are talking to you and it kinda speeds by. It wouldnt seem like it was going to quickly if it wasnt so hard to read.
If they came out with a fix for this the game would be 100x better (and I already love the game). But I highly doubt they will. Maybe reviewers should start to take this into consideration and when they play to review games that could do a little bit on HD and SD.
Anyone have comparison pics yet? as the people that say they have no problems reading it either have HDTV or are sitting right ontop of there tv's and have great vision. I'm sitting about 1 foot away from mine and I can read it... But it's not easy. -Jay
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
