So, not using a USB port means having to use a power plug? Or is this battery powered? Since it's my understanding that the USB ports are now powered even when the PS3 is off (for recharging controllers) I'd rather give up a USB port than having to find room for another plug.
Really? The whole company is gay, or just the folks who work in Toshiba's DVD production facility? And does it really matter if they're gay when it comes to a DVD player?

And out of the 6+ billion people on this planet "no one" will buy it? If they manage to sell one does that mean they're not gay?
Since Jerry is in 'The Inn' then I guess Carpoolers is gone as well?
@CraigWB

"I'm sure they'll do the traditional update if the facts come in keep your pants on.
When you want news at lightning fast blog speed not everything can be 100% confirmed you know."

It's called simple fact checking. This lightning fast blog news has access to something called Google. Would've taken longer to write and post this news than it would take to see that Stargate is MGM.

This post was nothing more than bandwagon jumping and rumor-mongering.

Millions of PS3s out there (potential Blu-Ray players) and the ratio is only 51%-49% in favor of Blu-Ray?

Juggernaut my ass.
"...but we haven't seen Dean Cain on the TV in awhile."

He did do several episodes of Las Vegas playing Sam's ex-husband.
"We don't know what prompted the price drop, but along with a BD-J special feature, 1080p transfer and uncompressed 5.1 soundtrack when it is released December 11, we're not complaining."

What's that they say about a fool and his money?

The pricing on TV boxsets on both sides of the format is ridiculous. $99 MSRP is insane for what is essentially only 24 episodes, irregardless of what Amazon may charge in the end.

I'll wait for a used copy to show up on some forums or on eBay. Let someone else take the depreciation hit on this.
I so want that 3800 amp. I need to replace my 2500 since it doesn't have HDMI and I'm out of component plug-ins. Would love to see some better close-ups of the x800 series of amps.
What's the deal with the ViiV certification? Can this be mixed in with a Media Center for control? Or does this mean you can look at your photos through the satellite box?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
