"To us, demos seem like a great way to get the word out about games, but a recent study suggests that they might be better tools for consumers than solid marketing strategy."

"they might be better tools"? wtf
what does playing any random youtube video from your tivo have to do with photoshop?
this contest rocks, can't wait for halo 3. taking the week off work to play!
Yes, it magically and physically changes the resolution of the screen and upgrades it from 240x240 to 320x320.

Also, I happen to have some oceanfront property in Nevada to sell you ;)
all I want is an amp with
-4 or more optical inputs
-3 or more component inputs
-3 or more HDMI inputs

No other inputs needed.
How does this compare with the Polk Surroundbar? Anyone tried both?
Not sure how this is news. I tried one of these 3 months ago with google wifi in mtn view. It definitely increased the range but not enough to connect to the free google network, but it did allow my PC to 'see' about 10 more of wireless access points in neighboring homes.
This only brings back up the fact that there is no Xbox 360 version of EAs craptacular Nascar game. It makes me long for a good nascar game like the Dirt to Daytona one from Monster Games.
software update != to firmware updates, firmware for this type of device would be specifically for the gsm radio, which is totally unrelated to an application update.

infinity flex, who 'loses' global address lookup? that's available both with devices talking to ms exchange servers that support push as well as good right?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
