Thanks guys! I'm looking forward to the new Samsung Blu-Ray players. Love that they come Wi-Fi ready!
I've bought two TVs online from Vanns.com. The first time, the TV was $300 cheaper than my local Best Buy's sale price. I actually saved more because there was no tax on the $1,900 I paid online. Free shipping makes it even better. The second time, I saved $500 prior off the same TV at Best Buy's sale price. Ever since I've discovered Vanns, I will never buy a TV from a B&M again. Why throw money out the window? There are always better deals online but - word to the wise - do your research on the vendor first to ensure you are dealing w/ a reputable company. Read many reviews!
"DirecTV customers who already had the channel are now encouraged to find other things to fuel their air of superiority, we recommend noting your remarkably luxurious hair, your kid's middle school honor student status, or an above average number of Facebook friends."

Ha Ha! I can still get NFL Sunday Ticket and you can't!!!
Seriously, though, what the hell could be extra (and actually be something people want to download)on Dewey Cox that couldn't fit on TWO BRDs???????
That's why I just recently bought seven from Deep Discount DVD for between $9-$18 each (most on the lower end). To heck w/ any retailers who feel they can still milk this cow. No tax or shipping charges either! Vote w/ your wallet!
The funny part is that's an A2 in the picture, while the sign says A3.
Sweet!!! That means I got mine for a total of $6. I paid $106 for mine (including tax), but had a $50 gift card sitting around, so out-of-pocket was $56. Add in this free $50 and BAM - a $6 HD-DVD player to watch my 17 movies on! Woot!! And now I can use this $50 towards a Blu-Ray player! Thanks Best Buy!!!!!!!
Actually, this is an awesome point. These other features more often have far greater impact on PQ than simply moving to 1080p!!
In my experience, it's not worth it under 46" anyways .... but that's just me. So if that's the size you have/want, then 720p should be all the TV you'll ever need. But if you go above 50" then it's probably worth the investment. As for replacing your 720 for a 1080, ask yourself this - are you already truly happy w/ your TV? Do you keep asking yourself, how could this get any better? If so, save your cash for a blu-ray player or a set of golf clubs or something. 1080p is nice, but it's not always necessary for every person.
Matter of personal taste I guess. I can't wait to buy this player. Will look great matching up w/ my glossy black Samsung LCD. I think it looks rather sharp.

Not that YOU should - beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
