This is actually incredibly interesting to me because my friends LOVED the MW2 commercials and I know a guy from school who picked it up because of the killer commercial. ODST's Johnson ads were also big hits were I live, and this is the first time I've heard anyone express their disappointment with 'em. In your community were you the exception, or was that the general feeling?
I don't want you to ever artificially inseminate ANYthing. You don't seem to have the right recipe =/
This game is getting so much attention for being mediocre because it's based off an extremely high budget Triple A movie produced by James Cameron. People are expecting great things from the movie, and may see it as an unfortunate premonition for the quality of the movie itself. Not to mention the fact that games nowadays have a higher bar set for them, are $60 a pop, and have to compete with games such as Batman "Arkham Asylum" which were inspired by movies but have still been able to hold their own.
The first thing I thought when I read the plans for Ubisoft's Natal games:

PASS
Yeah, how are dancing, fitness, and party games innovative? It seems to me they are the easiest and ONLY games developers have succeeded in making well, and I think it's about time they expanded to other genres. How fun would Oblivion or Dragon Age be if you could have the option to fight (sword, casting spells, archery, etc.) using Natal? Sure it would be difficult to implement at first, and there would certainly be many attempts to perfect the feel and performance, but that's something I would actually buy. And that's just a random example (albeit a bad one at that) for a new type of game using motion control. With the power of the 360 being introduced, I think almost any type of game is possible. Who knows, there's even possibilities to create whole new type of games which just wouldn't have been feasible without this new technology!
Hey guys I've been a reader/listener since the very first podcast and I've never missed an episode, but this one was more emotional (for myself) than any episode I've ever heard. It's awesome to hear an entire fancast dedicated to ODST as I'm a Halo addict and I'm utterly immersed in the game myself, however it was just so damn bittersweet since it's coupled with Dustin's exit from the fancast. Dustin, I mean no offense to the other podcasters (Richard, Alexander, and Xav) when I say that your the person I most relate to, and always seems to be the guy who interjects my own views into the podcast (whether it be playing Halo in the ye hours in the morning, or cursing yaris into oblivion.)

After all the hours upon hours of gaming news, bad puns, and just plain 'ol laughs I've gotten from you, all I can say is best wishes with whatever you decide to do next =). I've always felt you bring an incredibly unique and humorous personalty to the podcast, and I know that it will never the be same without you. That's not to say I won't still listen to the podcast anymore, but every week I'm sure you'll be missed. You share a little piece of your world every week, and I feel like I owe you guys for always bringing that into my day. I appreciate all you've done for the podcast, and I hope that your next job will bring you as much enjoyment as you've seemed to get from this one!

On one last note I was wondering if you'd like to play some Firefight with me, and maybe get the Endure achievement? I've heard you talk about your love for Halo and your skillz ;-) on countless podcasts, and I've always wanted to play some halo with you so I figured this would be my very last chance to ask. Better late than never? If you want to game up some firefight my gamertag is "Badkarmacoble" and I'd be awesome if Richard or Xav wanted to get in on the achievement hunting. Best of luck man~
Well I guess this pictures sums up Firefight the best:

It's going to be epic.
It's my Renegade United Stealing Ewoks!

Personally I think this game could be amazing, I love games which push graphics beyond what we're used to; and the 3D experience could be exactly that.

Well it's not a "couple thousand" I guess.
It's funny I totally thought this way too until I read Vociferous's script from http://blog.ascendantjustice.com/a-film-called-halo/ (AscendantJustice.com). That's someone I completely trust with Halo lore and if that script would be picked up by a good producer than I believe we would have an incredibly epic movie.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
