Except that I haven't seen many CDs with the extra material provided in the LP edition of these. I'm not an Apple fan by any stretch, but the idea of positioning the extra material as an upgrade rather than a right (ie: it's "Special Edition" DVD versus DVD "Bonus Features") was marketing genius.

Then again, unless Apple themselves are producing the material that constituted the LP, that $10k is highway robbery.
Oh, big mamma! Don't fail me now! In desperate need of a new PC, may as well make it 2!
Umm... I visited my local Smith's grocer (Utah's branding for the Kroger franchise) and our Redbox unit is renting DS games. West Valley Smith's at Redwood Road and 4200 S if anybody in the area wants to verify.

So much for this being limited to Reno, NV.
O noes! They stole my patented self-paddling contrapulation! East Texas, here I come!
I was shocked that one of the options for "why did you purchase?" wasn't brand name recognition or something similar. I'm guessing a goodly percent of both surveyed groups would have lumped that up fairly high - I know several mac zealots (and in this case, that's an accurate term) who bought an iPhone simply because it was an Apple product.
@interspectrum: I live in the US, but I use my cell phone much less than 65 minutes a month. I'm actually looking for a reasonably priced Skype Smartphone (ie: not just a wireless skype phone, but e-mail, web browsing and application support) for this very reason - I'm always either at my desk (where I can't use my cell phone), at home (where my VOIP line give me much cheaper rates than any cell phone), somewhere with WiFi access, or somewhere I don't want to be bothered. My Google Voice line is set up to forward calls to the correct destination - I receive maybe a dozen calls per month on my cell phone, and those are typically very short conversations.

I hear people say they need their cell phone, but very few people (truckers may be the exception, due to the extreme amount of time spent on the road) really do.
You, sir, are a tool.

Copy/Paste is an application or framework specific feature, not an OS support issue.
I haven't seen a BSOD on any of my Windows boxes for years. They are typically caused by hard drive issues in my experience, and I'd love to see how elegantly OSX manages to deal with a suddenly unreadable graphics or other driver. Oh wait - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1373 Yeah - MUCH better than a blue screen...
I noticed that same thing.

Hackability ftw?
iPhone's OS is about as similar to OSX as Windows Mobile is to Windows Vista - they're related, which in no way implies that they have similar features.

Also, things are different this time around. What he SHOULD be asking is which of the OSes have compatibility with each other's applications? With the advent of Java as a language of choice for many mobile apps, there is a level of cross-compatibility.
1) Add a microphone
2) Add a headset speaker
3) Add a North American / Europe 3G Radios
4) Quad band / CDMA, dual radios.
5) Sit back and prof
1 & 2) From TFA:
Headphone socket, built in speaker and microphone

3,4) This is intended as an OEM solution. They are hoping to cash in on manufacturers who just want an android device without all of the hardware development. I'm betting the 3G/CDMA/Quad Band are coming soon, once they can get figure out a way to fit them in. Besides, there's a broad market for PMP and WiFi phones currently (I'm looking at a dev unit for myself, currently)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
