It's actually not a monopoly -- you can watch NFL games locally, you can go to the games in person, and you can go to the local bars to watch the games you want. Customer has many choices, so it's not a monopoly.

Just sayin'... :)
I watched Howard the Duck in the dark once... Talk about scary!
"I guess I shouldn't expect much when people care so much about how they **look** wearing 3D glasses in the privacy of their own home."
That's not the only reason people don't like wearing the glasses to get 3D. Personally, I don't like them because everything gets blurry the second you tilt your head a little off axis.
I'm just pissed off at the WalMart IMAX exclusive. I want the IMAX footage... But I don't want to support that business practice. If I buy it, I'm encouraging WalMart to keep doing it, and that's lame.

:(
So what's the deal on that? There's seriously two different SKUs for Transformers, one with the opened up IMAX footage (like Dark Knight) and one without?

If so, that's incredibly lame. Way to add a ton of confusion to the marketplace, Paramount/WalMart.
Geez guys, it's called a Proof of Concept. Rome wasn't built in a day.
Dollhouse rocks.
Right, because Dish network is doing so poorly right now...

Even if DirecTV didn't have the Ticket, I still wouldn't switch to cable. I'd consider Dish as an alternative if DirecTV service started to slip, but right now they have the best customer service, bar none. Plus, being able to watch stuff on my PC that I recorded on my DVR is pretty damn sweet.
I think a better question is how do you edit these videos? From my research, most of the video editing suites don't handle HD video from camcorders like the Canon. What software do people use to edit?

The next problem would be burning it to BD...
Here's my entry. If I win, I'll have to upgrade my receiver, thus helping the economy. So a vote for me is a vote for improved economics for all!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
