Not exactly. The VOD uses reserved HD space, it's always been there unaccessible to normal DVR space and now they are finally using it.

You can also just put an eSATA on the DVR if you want more space, too as well.
The AM21 is not yet available but it's coming VERY soon. The national rollout of the code for the HR21s is in progress that supports it and some companies are taking pre-orders for it.
The B-Band modules are the best part of this announcement because it verifies that it is indeed an MPEG-4 HD capable receiver.
What, no mention at all that this is a show from XMRadio Canada, XM204?
It's 41 channels if you subscribe to the HD Tier, the Sports Tier, and EVERY movie channel. You're talking almost $150/mo for 41HD in Albany with set-top boxes. Details: http://albanyhdtv.proboards18.com/index.cgi?board=Voom&action=display&thread=1204399794&page=1#1204400937
Here is exactly what you can get with DirecTV from Albany for HD channels. I get 53, real 24-hour HD channels in Albany with Choice Xtra, Extra Pack and HD Access (about $65/mo). Details: http://albanyhdtv.proboards18.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=Voom&thread=1204399794&page=1
DirecTV, 90 and counting. Realistically I get about 50 national and local HDs, the rest are PPV and RSNs.
This is just the half of it, they are just moving these to SDV-- everything they've added for HD in the last 5-6 months is already SDV, so they've been screwing us for a while here.

Albany TW's CableCard rental fee is $1.75/mo; their STB is $8/mo. I wonder what their motivation is?
Boooo switched digital video. Don't plan on watching any of Albany's HD channels with a TivoHD or CableCard.
That's alot of channels D* people have been watching for 6 months now.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
