My friend and I thought it was quite obvious this episode was mostly directed at their disagreement with their passage of Prop 8 (and rightly so). I mean, think about all the skits.

1. A skit where 4 guys (and a women, but mostly the guys) are constantly kissing.
2. A skit where the prisoner talks about the guys being other guys' bitches.
3. A skit where 2 guys paint each other nude.
4. A skit with 4 guys in the car, one talking about having sex with the male taxi driver, another with a vibrating cell phone in his butt.
5. On weekend update mentioning Prop 8 and the whole pink panther and boyfriend thing.
6. A skit with 3 guys dressed up in heels dancing with Beyonce.
7. A skit with 2 police officers saying I love you.
8. A skit mentioning Prop 8 and two guys talking about it then one proposing to the other.

We feel it was quite obvious, and I say good for them. All in all, it was a funny episode, but they definitely went to a bit more shock then normal.

Oh, and also the Biden thing still sucks. Guess their only problem is Obama and Biden really don't have THAT much to make fun of compared to Bush, Cheney, Clinton, Hillary, McCain, or Palin. Hope we don't see the downfall of SNL now!
But by that reasoning, since the iPhone is 3G we should be able to use it with Verizon. Obviously, though, we cannot since the iPhone is a GSM phone. So how can anyone here look at or hear about a 3G phone and automatically know it is GSM, CDMA, or both?
I'm confused...why would I wait for Best Buy's unlocked 3G version? Sprint is a CDMA network, and as I understand it 3G = GSM. Same thing with the Touch HD (looks beautiful, btw). It's supposed to be 3G, so how can people mention that and Sprint and/or Verizon? Am I missing something there?
Agree with others here that KNTV isn't that great of coverage. I found it pretty sad, too, that they were the last to switch to HD, since NBC seems to be the ones to promote HD the most. Anyway, I rarely watch news coverage in HD at all (internet is far easier for news), but it's nice to know all our networks are now news in HD.
You're asking about OTA channel use and THAT is the picture you use to go with the story?!
That's what she said.
Personally, I don't know why people have such a grip about player prices. DVD players had roughly the same prices when they were new. The difference is the catalog.

The reason why I refuse to get a blu-ray player is simply the fact that there are 500 titles out there. That's it! Until blu-ray goes mainstream, I'm not touching it. I mean, what good does it do me if I go to Blockbuster or Netflix, and roughly 95% of the movies I have to choose from are DVDs. Where's my incentive?! I can watch more movies through TV. TNT HD, TBS HD, Universal HD, SCIFI HD, USA HD, MOJO HD, AMC HD (these are just the channels I get, there are more out there) and HBO HD (not to mention other premiums you can order) provide me with enough movies on my TiVo that I can't find the time to watch them all.

Maybe once blu-ray is at 5,000 titles I might, might just consider (in addition to a lower price-point). Until then, it'd HD programming for me!
Pam said she forgot her contact solution after spending the night at a "friend's house." I have to admit that I didn't think twice about that. But did anyone with a TiVo notice the show description tonight? It clearly states "after spending the night at Jim's, Pam deals with an unexpected inconvenience." Just an interesting tidbit...
I think this review is an improvement from last week. I feel like it encompasses the episode much better.

First, my own opinion quickly. I think it's fair to blame Craig. Because the women did so well, getting only 2 out of 8 made it impossible for the men to win. Two of the men got perfects, which meant that out of the other 4 men, they could have gotten one wrong here and there. But missing 6 all by himself when the women missed a total of 4 among them all?!

Now, back to your review. I think you missed a really crucial part of the service. You missed Jason not being able to name the desserts (this is clearly becoming a trend) and then giving up. This was Gordon's reason for eliminating him, which I think is a big deal. Remember, a summary is good, but the crucial parts are much more important than letting me know about a 70s album.

Oh, and by the way, the most important part is accuracy. Corey did NOT pick for the women, it was Christina (which again is also important because [1] she had the power over Corey this time and [2] she didn't pick Corey) which I think leads to my quote of the night by Christina, "you keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." That sounds up a great strategy for this game!
I'm not saying I could write better than you when it comes to these summaries, but I have to say that compared to a lot of the recaps I read here, this one was not up to par. Especially since you say you worked in the restaurant business for over 10 years, I would think that'd allow you to comment a lot more on what happened.

The reason I say this is that your recap is like a summary that tries to cram an hour into 2 pages. You mention a quote in the beginning and never again mention how it came about (Petrozza can't name menu items to Ramsay two times in a row and is ready to leave and Bobby has to come out and help him). You fail to mention the drama going on in the girl's team (like Jen blaming Corey for their loss in the challenge which is crucial to understanding why she put her up for elimination or Sharon being seen as a Barbie that can't get anything done correctly and has little experience, which is mainly why she was cut). You also fail to mention that tensions become high in the men's team as Bobby and Jason argue over scallops, timing, and other things.

I am glad, however, that you discussed about what Craig and Rosann (no E) did during service, and about Corey's stupidity for saying why she did what she did.

I'm just saying, though, that not every recap has to be a quick summary of what happened. In any reality show, especially a high-stress, quickly-moving one like this, it's important to pull out what's happening between the contestants so people get a better understanding of why people hate each other and get someone to read it here and really agree with what you're saying. That's why I think your 10 years of experience could come in handy here...you have a unique perspective.

Anyway, those are just my thoughts. I may get flamed, but I see it as constructive criticism. I'll of course return for next week's review.

"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
