I would have been Blu by now, but decided to go to grad school. I'm probably going to wait until graduation in 2010 now. Hopefully the PS3 will be half the price and size by then..
I am someone who just started watching the show last fall. I liked the Mini-series okay, and my love of watching TV kept me watching the show. I agree that season one could be boring, and the production value, especially that season, was pretty sad in my opinion. I thought the sets seemed like sets and the effects seemed like effects.

That being said, I kept watching, and what I found was that I really enjoyed each season more and more. I didn't get caught up into any fanboy criticism because I didn't want to be accidentally spoiled (although just reading TV sites means somethings were going to slip through.)

I really like the show now and am just disappointed that my cable or my TV broadcast looks like shit for Season 4, but that is what you get when you have a kickass DVD upconverter. I just missed the HD-DVD release of the first season, so now I am eager to rewatch it all when it comes out on Blu-Ray. I'll probably wait a couple of years so it all seems as fresh as possible again!
Sorry, I meant because of the time shift differences we have seen with the rocket and Walt. The Oceanic 6 being in modern times but seemingly not having been off the island too long. It seems to me that time is moving slower on the island, and while 100 days have past there, three years have past in the real world.
Does anyones else think that Frank is talking about the 2007 Red Sox win, when Jack is just talking about the 2004 win he saw when he was in captivity?
ME WANT TV
I bought one of the HD-A2s when they went on sale on Amazon. I really have been blown away by the picture quality. That being said, I don't mind moving it to a bedroom TV if Blu-Ray wins, as it has great picture quality for regular DVDs.

I am really wanting to have a home theater media center, and the PS3 is by far the cheapest option for that right now. I kinda want Blu-Ray to win for that reason, but I could just be patient and build my own in a year. I really wouldn't mind either one, but I hope the decision comes quickly!
Look barring a miracle HOH win by Zach this week it will be Dick, Danielle, Eric, & Jessica. At this point it will come down to who wins the POV that week as they will have all the power and not the HOH. (HOH, 2 Nominees, One Voter) If Eric and Jess can get rid of Danielle that week, Eric will be in a much better position, b/c he is automatically in the final two. Dick won't be Jessica, he has a small chance w/ Eric, and of course Eric would take himself. All in all Eric may not win this game, but he'll probably be there at the end.

I do hope that something else happens to shake things up because it is a little scripted at this point, and Eric will already win $100K plus w/ the America challenges, so he can go at any time.

As long as they bring back the awesomeness that is it's theme song, I'm OK w/ it!
This was simply the best talk show in existence. I understand Jon is busy but I would love for him to pass the baton to someone else. I would think that people would line up to be one it just for the free 5-star dinner!! It was very refreshing to just listen to a group of people talk about the business without any "celebrity" involved.
The problem with the Emmys as opposed to the Oscars is most voters can catch up on movies enough that a semi-respectable group can come out of it. With the Emmys there are way to many shows for their voters to actively watch. Therefore they need a qualifier. Have voters name the shows that they watch and only allow them to vote for their favorite programs among the shows they watch. Have people rank their 5 favorites from among those that they WATCH. Then come up with a fair weighted voted scheme so the shows with fewer viewers and less hype have more of a chance to be nominated. I think someone should make that work, ask the folks down at IMDB as to how they come up with their Top 250, it seems to be a balance of rating and # of votes.

"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
