Maybe if Warner would have had HD-DVD content in the stores Q4 sales might have been better. My local Wal-Mart has 12 HD-DVD titles to choose from, compared to 30+ Blu-Ray titles. And when I drove the 50 miles to the closest Best Buy, everything I wanted on HD-DVD was sold out, but they had the Warner titles on Blu-Ray. So at this point Warner won't be getting any of my money for a while, until I can save up the $500 to get a decent stand alone Blu-Ray player (and trust me, it won't be a Sony).
Heres the way I look at it. I bought the $99 HD-DVD player at WalMart. When a disc comes out that I want in HD-DVD, I buy it. When a disc comes out in Blu-Ray that I want to see, I rent it in SD from Netflix and watch it upconverted. Until I see a sub $100 (or even sub $150) Blu-Ray player hit the market, all of my purchasing dollars will go to HD-DVD.
I bought the sub $100 HD-DVD player. When the Blu-ray players hit that price, I will buy one of those too. Just like I had Beta, VHS & Laser Disc back in the day. But I will not spend $250 - $400 on new technology ever again.
If Light of Doom wins, can you imagine the record company guys trying to see them? Teenage girls won't buy metal, metal heads won't buy an album of metal from 14 year olds. It's going to be a PR nightmare for them and a lot of wasted $$$. Oh yea, The Clark Brothers RULE!
Chicken lady on the blind date.
Well, I can stop watching now. We're left with the slug, the bible thumper, the super whiner and the anti-Christ. I don't want any of them to win.
I have a feeling that there is some Alby-Nikki (& possibly Roman) incest in the past that will come to light in the future episodes. I noticed in a past episode that Alby told her "We both know what a bad girl you are Nikki."
I think that if Eric gets kicked out this week, he should track down the company that flew the banner over and the people that paid for the banner and sue them for an amount equal to the grand prize. If he gets kicked out, it is a direct result of that banner. Hitting their wallets would put an end to the banners.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
