Keep in mind that this is retail pricing. Expect it to be $140 in a month or two. At that price it may become worthwhile for people who don't want to mess with boot sectors in the future as IOmega will deal with it.
Can anyone explain why the limited portal? Is this purely so people don't start visiting pr0n on an airplane or is there something different about the connection?
Features? Get a JVC if you want a lot of features. I had a HK and though performance was great. Not much worse than my Rotel that costs twice as much. The rotel has two features. Bass and Terrible. I dunno, maybe I'm just cranky about 7.1 9.1 11.2. 90% of the time I just want to listen to music out of some nice 3 way floor speakers. I hated my 5.1 system with the bookshelves and listening to the crappy music reproduction. I'm not watching Star Wars anyways..so maybe its just me. I think I'm going for the HK 3490, $325 at J&R.
Who's running Vista? Might as well have said works with VIC20.
I've had the crappy $500 HTIB with $250 HK amp before and just decided screw it. I've got limited space and decided getting full range, full size 3 ways with a great two channel amp is just so much better. Music on the HTIB is like listening to those giveaway ipod ear phones and when I'm watching the diving bell do I really need 7.1???
If you read comments even on Engadget you'll be happy to know the 8300hd is the still the superior device.. the GUI you see in this pic is the 8300hdc and from what everyone says it sucks ass.
Robber 1: Do you see a TV?
Robber 2: Nope.
Robber 1: Lets get out of here.
TWC customers should be getting this channel around.....never?
Once you track point, you can never go touch pad.
This breaks FairPlay4wm since it requires the latest Windows Media player. Too bad I won't be using this.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
