Ah yes, and so the YouTube generation finally begins demanding any and all information in video format. We have lost.
Definitely use it to browse the tubes. And other legal activities. Probably use it to keep track of my life.
@18 - Anyone who thinks they can throw questions around like you do ought to double check what they type, a la "Anyone with a C.S degree would not have stated that the 360 is able to process A.I better than the 360" see the problem? Oh, and unless my mind fails me, the answer to #1 is

I agree with you, but be less of an ass.
Well, as someone who keeps tabs on most things that go on in the gaming world, I can tell anyone reading this that the PS3 already has the capability to upscale DVDs, and this will NOT be an option in a future version of the console, as it's standard. Not to say that it has been IMPLIMENTED, just that they're all capable of doing it already. Word on the street says May firmware will unlock the scaler, which means all games should play in any resolution, and Blu-Ray should do the same (goodbye 1080/480 Blu-Ray problem)... Also look for some kind of implimentation of IPTV before christmas. The future is looking kind of bright...
Seriously, how stupid is BOSTON??? I don't know, but I'd have to say... pretty M-Fing stupid. yea, that's it... pretty M-Fing stupid... ahhh
actually, I was one of the lucky ones to get a PS3 on launch day, and upon getting back to the house plugged it into a several years old 720P projector (that absolutely can not upscale it's own content), and threw in the Talledaga Nights blu-ray movie that was included, and was absolutely blown away by the picture quality. I promise you, it's a problem with the TVs and NOT the Playstation 3. It's the same thing with the downscaling issue, although Sony should have been ready for that problem and dealt with it before launch, it's the TVs that are really at fault. It's all about being next-gen, and if your TV isn't ready, don't blame the Playstation, just trade your TV in for one that works like any HDTV should.
Wow, that was actually a rather ridiculous total of format titles, a quick glance at wikipedia's two format sites shows HD-DVD having 88 available and planned titles, while Blu-Ray actually has 101 available and planned titles, not to mention the titles listed in the article are completely lop-sided, I've only heard of one HD-DVD title before (guess which one) while I've heard of all, and seen a few of the Blu-Ray titles... thoughts for food
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
