The channel did go under, and Voom HD (the suite of channels it operated under) pretty much died domestically. GamePlay HD had more than one show that was exactly like this. Intriguing in concept - raw HD footage sounds like a great way to sell games - but pretty boring and pointless to watch long-term, like playing a single-player game with a buddy who never hands you the controller.
Penny Arcade Adventures is not only a fun and decent RPG series, it's had one of the funniest scripts of any game I've ever played.
Watched it religiously. In one ep, Cos complains that no one needs to stare in the fridge with the door open, that doing so too long will prompt penguins to come knocking. My dad used that line on me all the time.
I want this set because I am a red-blooded male, and over the course of my life I have discovered one inexplicable fact: Fraggle Rock? Total chick catnip.
Actually, that first clip is from The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour - http://classicshowbiz.blogspot.com/2007/12/smothers-brothers-comedy-hour-with.html
My favorite moment is when Benson finally chucks Bob the dummy out the window.
Cost is a pretty big hurdle, which is what makes this prediction a fantasy. But if flash card production costs somehow dropped dramatically in the near future...think about it. It's brilliant. It's an argument of portability and durability ease of use, of solid state vs. moving parts. From optical to flash? It would be a PERFECT way to distribute movies.

Or have all of you not seen what's happened to the music industry in the last decade?
Love the games, love the comics - never saw the show! If I get it, I may weep openly.
360. They are all, in fact, the same person. He just changes his name for tax reasons.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
