I'd love to see the Discovery Channel HD logo on my TV, but alas, Time Warner in Los Angeles hates us.
Here in Los Angeles, we don't get the pretty guide OR the HD channels. :(
Here in Los Angeles, where we happen to produce a lot of the TV that's out there, Time Warner has a total of 11 HD channels (plus the locals and the premiums, if you're willing to shell out for those).

Now, don't get me wrong -- the HD channels we have look pretty good, but it sure would be nice to get the 4 Discovery channels (Disc, AniP, SciCh, TLC), the National Geographic channel, and even CNN HD.

I just don't really understand why Time Warner can't get more HD's moving out here.
They might be able to get more subscribers if their computer systems actually had a clue about where the service was available at.

On both the website, and in talking to customer service, the service shows up as "available" if they use the main address to my apartment building. However, it shows up as "we're not sure" if the actual apartment number is entered as part of the address. They've been unable to tell me what this really means.

I'd be more than willing to switch to Uverse from my Time Warner here in LA, if only because they have seem to have figured out how to provide more HD channels.
As a Time Warner customer out here in Los Angeles, I have to say I'm somewhat jealous....

I'd trade my TBS and TNT fake HD channels for National Geographic and History in HD anyday of the week.

Man, I wish Time Warner would hurry it up with the HD's already....
I'd love a warm-weather getaway to Cancun.
Pretty please?
Definitely wouldn't mind a Wii.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
