Mom's unmentionables and my Icy Hot Stuntaz do-rag.

"mmmm.....jackpot!"
I managed to use the coupon yesterday, but passed it to a friend and she was not able to use it. Checked the slickdeals forum and apparently many people are not able to use the coupon. YMMV.
I actually won a pair from the "Be A Contender" Sweepstakes, but I was unable to find someone to make the drive with me from Phoenix to LA. So I had to call them today and officially decline the prize. So some lucky person will be getting a call from Gage Marketing (the outsourced company who handles this prize drawing) today and hopefully that person will be able to go and enjoy the event. Meanwhile, I'll be reading about the briefing shortly after it happens, just like everyone else. And to the person who wanted to sell his tickets if he won, fyi, they are 100% non-transferable and are picked up in person at the Radisson with photo ID verification. = [

Wow. Plastikman - Sheet One graphic. I remember that fiasco. I also realize how old I am now. = /

Has already been used also.
For me, I was not able to get to A N Y microsoft properties. Xbox live (via 360 or website), Hotmail, not even Microsoft.com. Couldn't even ping any of them. Everything else worked fine though. After about 10 minutes, I'm now able to sign in to XBL (via 360) and access Hotmail, ms.com, etc. However, there is still no sign in area on xbox.com, which is usually significant of a site/system change (likely to avoid people from logging in and inputting any data that may be lost during a migration). I do know for a fact that they have just moved from an external CDN to managing their content in-house. Perhaps there are some migration issues.
What, no photoshopped red x's in the pic?
I'm not sure what the deal is, but I've tried the overloaded map scenario (Sandbox) using trip mines three times now, on three seperate launches of Forge and the skull simply is not where it is supposed to be; according to all of the videos that I've seen. Odd, considering that I've found the other two.
Clearly it must be my mistake by getting used to the majority of electronic components that I've purchased to actually come with accessories in the box. Guess I've just been lucky.

TrentD - I agree with the premise of your comment. And Drew; reasonable point.

Would it drive up costs? Sure. Do most people need the accessories anyway? Probably. Where each person chooses to shop to obtain said accessories is up to them. But it's likely that the majority of consumers would prefer to have what they need in one solution.

My notations were simply a measure of contents that *I* would have expected to see in the package. Perhaps I was wrong for thinking that, much less, posting a comment regarding such thoughts on a public forum.

Either way, I obtained the needed accessories, and I am satisified with the experience overall.

Great player, but unfortunately, two more "bad's" to list;

Does not come with an ethernet cable (which makes zero sense for such an IP based device).

Does not come with an HDMI cable (really? not even a short patch cable? c'mon...).

Other than that, after a quick order from Monoprice, I'm satisfied with the player.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
