i hope viridian joule wins. it's slightly witty and sounds nice, while the other two are just enviro-campy.
In corporate and consumer america, you buy products based on the advertising. hence, intel wins.

in the world of engineering, you design the best computer you can. thus, AMD wins the top supercomputer spots.
lol, i want that sign. "no bling," "no pastries," "no boy band CDs." hahaha.
grammar police obviously didn't have any math lessons in grammar school. oh shit, 4 digits! my brain can't handle it!

here's a clue:

1st digit = generation. higher numbers on the last 3 digits = faster. 890 > 870 > 850 > 670 > 650 etc.

at least each product with a different name is a different product. not like a 9600GSO = 8800GS = G130. or 8800GT = 9800GT = GTS240. 8800GTS = 9800GTX. yeah, much easier to understand.
apple didn't tell them what to do with it, so they don't know.
i think the limiting factor isn't the torque. if it had any more, it would do this every time you stepped on the pedal:

as a non-german, i can't believe i understood that. and agree.
he just put a honda logo on a koenigsegg.
uh, yeah, sure. she races rally cars and her forehead drools crystals.
@jimbo:

"And you fail to grasp simple physics. A 47 hp gas or diesel engine running as a range extender (aka, the battery is DRAINED) can never deliver 250 hp of power to an electric motor unless you've somehow figured out a way to create energy from nothing."

and you fail to grasp the fact that BATTERIES STORE ENERGY. 1 minute of power generation at 25HP (sitting at a red light or something) to charge the battery will give you 6 seconds of 250HP power. or, cruising down the highway, using 20HP but generating 25HP of power will still gradually build up battery charge for you to bring on 250HP when you need it.

do you only have solar-powered flashlights at your house or something? you seriously can't figure this out?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
